Rural Phillipsburg resident, Karen Jean Bach, passed away Monday, August 19, 2013 at her home near Woodruff, KS at the age of 70. She was born in Oxford, NE on May 30, 1943 to Gene & Eileen (Welden) Covey. She was a homemaker, mother and nurse’s aide.
Survivors include her husband, Leland; three sons, Anthony of Phillipsburg; Stuart of Meridian, KS; and Jason of Alma, NE; sister, Connie Miller of Kansas City, MO; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Friday, August 23, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in the Peace Lutheran Church, Alma, NE, with Pastor Paul Ferrarone officiating. Private inurnment will be in the Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Stuttgart, KS.
There will be no visitation; cremation was chosen. Friends may sign the book at Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, on Wednesday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and again on Thursday from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
