Philip D. Beougher, 57, Hays, died Friday, January 9, 2015 at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Zion, Illinois.
He was born January 8, 1958 in Oakley, Kansas the son of Clellen and Ethel (Anderson) Beougher. He was a graduate of Wheatland High School in Grainfield in 1976.
On September 27, 2008 he married Deidria A. “Dee” Klaus in Hays. He worked for Auman Co. for many years before owning and operating Hillside Plumbing in Hays. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Kansas Walleye Association. He loved fishing and hunting, woodworking, carpentry, and remodeling houses. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his wife, of the home, four step sons, Richie Fetterolf, Adam Fetterolf, and Dave Cooksey, all of Hays, and Randy Cooksey of Denver, CO, one step daughter Sharol Wilkins and husband Tyler of Hays, three brothers William Beougher of Gove, Jim Beougher and wife Sheila of Gove, and Steve Beougher and wife Janette of Grinell, three sisters Shirley Walker of Lathrop, MO, Judy Zerr and husband Delbert of Manhattan, KS, and Suzi Goetz and husband Stan of Dodge City, KS and ten grandchildren, Brayden, Trent, Brooklyn, Parker, Jayden, Maddy, Nate, Ben, Myles, and McKenna.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Jamie Lynn Beougher-Symns, a brother in law Roby Walker, and a sister in law Joyce Beougher.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Friday, January 16, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church, 305 W. 7th. Burial will be in the Mt. Allen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 7:00 on Thursday at the Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1906 Pine or from 9:00 am until service time on Friday at the church.
