Dennis Lee Daniels

Dennis Lee Daniels, 76, passed away November 14, 2017, in Hill City, Kansas. He was born June 25, 1941 to Clarence and Madlin (Bowlin) Daniels in Norton, Kansas.

He attended school in Norton and entered the Army, July 2, 1959, He was stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and later deployed to South Korea as an escort for Generals.

Following an honorable discharge, June 29, 1962, he entered the work force. His employment ranged from construction with Sharp Construction, helping build the Norton Dam, Champlain Service Station and the DOT for the State of Kansas in Norton.

Dennis married Wanda Bremingkamp in Norton, April 26, 1974. They had three sons: Nick, Robert and Aaron. They later divorced.

As a young boy, Dennis enjoyed baseball and was a pitcher on the American Legion team. His boys followed suit, with dad as the catcher as his sons practiced.

Dennis enjoyed pheasant and quail hunting, bowling, coin hunting, and riding motorcycles. He especially loved fishing and practically lived out at Norton Lake. As a big fan of the Royals, he always listened to them on the radio.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and two brothers: Jim Daniels and Darrell Daniels. He is survived by his sons: Nick (Sommer Acheson) Daniels, Robert (Kendra Baker) Daniels, all of Norton, and Aaron (Amanda) Daniels, Phillipsburg; his brothers: Willis (Bernita) Daniels, Norton, Gail (Carol) Daniels, Tescott, and Doug Daniels, Norton; one sister, Gloria Zvolanek, Hill City, and many nieces and nephews.
