Phillipsburg resident Virginia Kaup passed away Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Society in Oberlin, KS at the age of 87.
She was born in Smith County, KS on Oct. 15, 1930, the daughter of Samuel & Hazel (Cole) Wiehl. On Nov. 24, 1948 she married Robert Kaup in Smith Center. He preceded her in death on Nov. 28, 2000.
Survivors include her sons, Doug, of Phillipsburg, KS and Jeff, of Plainville, KS; her daughter, Elaine Jacobs, of Stuttgart, KS; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 21, at 10:30 a.m. in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, with Pastor Chris Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg.
Mrs. Kaup will lie in-state on Sunday from 5-9 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. at the funeral home, with the family greeting friends Monday evening from 6 – 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be given to the United Presbyterian Church or Hospice Services.
